One Response to 2015 Virginia Duals

This was my first time attending and I was very impressed at how well ran it was.
The staff should be commended for the job they did. The only negative was the officiating,
I was seated near mat 10 both days and the officiating on mats 10 and 5 was questionable at best (especially the two older gentlemen). When officials start missing points, changing calls, looking to the scorers table or worse the coaches to make calls on a consistent basis they should not be allowed to work an event of this caliber, and in to many matches that’s what these two gentlemen did. I do not know why the Chantilly coaches pulled their team from the mat during the consolation finals but I will guess it was over officiating because when they did resume their match the two older officials were no longer on that mat.
Again you should be commended for running such a great event and hopefully next year will be even better.
